Oregon-based Jeff Sanders Promotions Records Outstanding Year for Charity
Former PGA TOUR and UO All-American Golfer’s Company leads Nationwide Tour
(Beaverton, OR – November 29, 2011) – Jeff Sanders, CEO and President of Jeff Sanders Promotions, Inc announced that the JSP managed golf events and TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ events in 2011 will generate $5.9 million dollars for charity. Led by the success of the two major JSP events on the Nationwide Tour – the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft and the Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open presented by Planters – hundreds of charities across the country will benefit from the millions of dollars raised.
“To be able to generate more than $5.6 million for charity in this challenging economy is very humbling and a real testament to our corporate sponsors,” said Sanders. “During a time when charity donations are down across the country, our events, as well as the tournaments that implement our TICKETS Fore CHARITY program, are making a real difference in communities across the nation.”
“To be able to provide these results with the economy in the state that it is, is extremely rewarding” said Sanders. “Thanks to the continued loyal support of our treasured tournament sponsors, all the Tour events that implement our TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program, the over one thousand volunteers who give their time and energy to help us produce our events and the hard work and relentless commitment to driving results by our dedicated team of professionals at JSP – we were able to make a huge difference in the lives of so many in communities across our country.”
The Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft, which celebrated its 22nd year this past September, raised over one million dollars again for charities in the Treasure Valley region of Boise, Idaho. Mike Clawson, President of Albertsons Intermountain West Division said, “We are thrilled to be able to provide over one million dollars to charity once again. Our vendor partners, local sponsors, media partners, loyal volunteers and Boise golf fans along with the experienced team of professionals from JSP all played key roles in delivering this phenomenal result for charity, and we are grateful to all of them.” The $1,076,000 provided this year brought the Albertsons Boise Open presented by Kraft to nearly $13 million dollars in total charitable contributions over the years, ranking the event #1 in charitable giving on the Nationwide Tour.
In its second year as a member of the Nationwide Tour, the Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open presented by Planters surpassed the record-breaking $1.6 million dollars raised for charity in its inaugural year. With the success of the PepsiCo TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program, the 2011 event raised a record $1.8 million dollars for charity. Chairman, CEO and President of Winn-Dixie Inc. Peter Lynch commented, “This is why we partnered with the PGA TOUR and JSP to bring the Nationwide Tour to our hometown of Jacksonville. Charity is the real winner here.”
The Nationwide Tour was equally impressed by the charitable contribution of the tournament: “The Winn-Dixie Jacksonville Open presented by Planters is a shining example of what can happen when the PGA TOUR partners with a great sponsor like Winn-Dixie and receives the backing of so many selfless, dedicated volunteers,” said Nationwide Tour President, Bill Calfee. “The impact of this one week of golf will be significant on a great number of organizations and individuals throughout the year.”
The TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program created and implemented by Jeff Sanders Promotions gives local non-profits the opportunity to sell tournament tickets and keep 100% of the sales they generate for their organizations. In addition to the two Nationwide Tour tournaments and the other major charity focused events managed annually by JSP in Chicago, Minneapolis and Scottsdale, the company consults with a number of professional golf events that utilize and implement the JSP TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program. These tournaments span all four of golf’s major tours – the PGA TOUR, Nationwide Tour, Champions Tour and LPGA Tour. Millions of dollars have been generated for charity through the JSP TICKETS Fore CHARITY™ program at 29 professional golf events across America.
“2011 was a great success. Our team is in high gear preparing now to improve on our results in the new year. We all look forward to continuing the giving and raising even more dollars for our title sponsors to give to hundreds of charities in the markets we produce golf events in 2012,” said Sanders. All five of the golf events produced by JSP in 2011 will be back in 2012.
